ABOUT EDETERNAL FOUNDER TOYA TATE-ROSE

It has been more than fifteen years since God planted the seed in Toya's heart to build an organization for Christians who teach and lead in public schools.  The call came during a tough time in Toya's life while going through a divorce and leading a project on school improvement while also relocating to a new city, Pittsburgh, PA.  The idea of this organization was planted in her heart and immediately she questioned God.  She thought why would God give such a big mission to a minor person.   At first, she denied the voice of God and when the Lord laid his mission on her heart she would ignore God's voice and would offer a long list to God of all the obstacles that laid before her, but God's voice remained strong.   She would tell God that she needed help, and surely, He didn't expect her to do this alone.  Over the course of the fifteen or so years, God would remind Toya of the call and she would excitedly tell other believers about it in hopes that they would offer to partner with her but what she envisioned never transpired.  Although all were amazed and supportive, no one shared the calling that God gave her.  Toya continued to delay the call and deny the mission.  Her inner thoughts were clear as a whistle, she states that her spiritual maturity needed to increase.  "Surely God would not allow her to proceed alone"....it wasn't until she heard Bishop T.D. Jakes deliver a message "Grasping the Moment" that she got the courage to move forward with the mission and do what God had called her to do.  She states that God brought her back by using a conversation she was having with her friend Elestine.  Toya thought that she was just calling to wish her friend a happy birthday and yet God's voice came through Elestine loud and clear.  Elestine asked a thought-provoking question during their conversation......"Why is it that those called to God's mission in Education will not step out on faith and trust God with doing what he has called them to do"......and at that point, Toya explains, that the calling and mission that God gave her grasped her heart and this time did not allow her to deny it.  Toya accepted the calling, and God began to reveal the mission of the work.  He began to allow her to see the hurt and misguidance and isolation that Christian Educators were experiencing. God explained that we sometimes feel isolated from what it was that God called us to do.   So at this time, EdEternal begins with one simple mission, to bring Christians together who are Educators in Public districts.  Toya often says that although the mission is simple the work is delicate and requires spiritual maintenance on each of our parts but especially hers.  Toya's goal is to build an organization that is dedicated to not only hearing from God and doing His work but also operates as a leader in the field of teacher professional development.   EdEternal is not only a place to praise, pray, and hear from God but also a place to gain the skills needed to be the best teacher and leader!
